As mentioned in previous communications, the Client Fee Dashboard on the Advisor Centre has been updated in preparation for the collection of 2024 Client Fees. The Client Fee Dashboard will be accessible to Representatives early May.

New this year on the dashboard

  • This year, the fees have been harmonized at $50 plus tax for all clients holding client-name, nominee and intermediary accounts. Representatives will use the Client Fee Dashboard to indicate which clients they wish to pay the fees for, including those holding nominee accounts, which previously had a different process.

  •  A column for 2024 plus outstanding fees has been updated, along with another column indicating the previous year’s status so that you can easily see if last year’s fees have been paid.

  • You will have the opportunity to let us know if you wish to pay your clients’ fees within the dashboard no later than June 30, 2024 (no exceptions). The ability to select clients for whom you wish to pay the client fees will be locked down after June 30, 2024.

Important reminders

  • Representatives may run a report of their clients from the dashboard which will indicate previous years’ payment history and whether there is client banking on file.

  • The cost for Representatives to cover the fees on behalf of their clients is $50 plus tax this year. There will be no opportunity to request to pay the client’s fee after June 30, 2024. If there are outstanding fees from previous years, the advisor will be charged for all fees including those unpaid from previous years.

  • For advisors who choose to waive the client fee on behalf of their clients, the commission deductions will be processed the second week of September 2024. For amounts greater than $1,000.00, commission deductions will occur in equal instalments over the months of September, October, and November2024.
