Interfund Switch Form – New Transmission Process

Best practices November 17, 2022

As you may already know, the Investia nominee interfund switch form enables the setup of systematic switch instructions within the same fund company and the same nominee account.

As per our normal process and given that systematic interfund switches cannot be set up internally due to system limitations, when you are looking to set up this type of transaction for a client, you normally send an “Order Instruction Form – Interfund Switches – Investia Nominee Accounts (F51-325A-2)” to Investia Head Office for approval and signature, and in turn Investia faxes the form to the fund company.

Good news! Going forward, as one less step for you to do, you will no longer have to fax this form to Investia and will be able to fax it to the fund company directly for processing.

Note that key fund companies have been notified of this new process and that the nominee interfund switch form has been amended to include a note about Investia’s authorization no longer being required.

Note that a transition period may be required for fund companies that are used to receiving these types of requests from the dealer. In the event of a rejection, please do not hesitate to contact the fund company to highlight the new note on the form.

Important Reminder

We are taking this opportunity to remind you that with the exception of interfund switches, requests to set up, change or stop a systematic transaction in an Investia nominee account should never be faxed to fund companies directly and must continue to be sent to Investia as per our normal processes.

The updated interfund switch form can be found in Univeris under the “Generate Forms” section.

We hope this change to our process will translate into efficiency gains for you.
