As a follow-up to our communications on April 6, 2023 and April 20, 2023, we would like to inform you that the new First Home Savings Account (FHSA) will be available in Univeris effective Monday, June 12, 2023, in line with the Fundserv launch.

The FHSA plan type is available for client-name accounts only. FHSAs will not be available in nominee accounts by the end of the year, but we will make sure to keep you informed of any new developments in this regard.

Important considerations

• The Fidelity application will be available in Univeris on Monday, June 12, and in the coming weeks we should also have AGF and other applications as they become available.

• Please be advised that the ability to name a successor holder for the FHSA plan is not available in the electronic Fundserv files, and therefore not incorporated in Univeris (not applicable for Quebec residents). This functionality should be available in a future release. For this reason, it is important to complete that information on the application itself and be sure to upload the document to imaging for archiving purposes. Should the fund company request this information as part of the new Electronic Processing Agreement (EPA), there will be a need to provide the required application upon request.
