THE 360 NEWSLETTER
As you know, the popular First Home Savings Account (FHSA) was made available in Univeris last June.
In addition to Fidelity and AGF, we are pleased to inform you that CI Global Asset Management (“CIG”) and Mackenzie have enhanced their product shelves and now offer the FHSA to clients. As such, CIG and Mackenzie applications can now be found in Univeris.
Reminders
- The FHSA plan type is available for client-name accounts only. FHSAs will not be available in nominee accounts by the end of the year, but we will make sure to keep you informed of any new developments in this regard.
- We would also like to remind you that the ability to name a successor holder for the FHSA plan is not available in the electronic Fundserv files, and therefore not incorporated in Univeris (not applicable for Quebec residents). This functionality should be available in a future release. For this reason, it is important to complete that information on the application itself and be sure to upload the document to imaging for archiving purposes. Should the fund company request this information as part of the new Electronic Processing Agreement (EPA), there will be a need to provide the required application upon request.
Should you have any questions, please contact our Client Services Team, by email at investia@investia.ca, by phone at 1-888-684-5548, or use the chatbot feature available on the Advisor Centre.
