Commissions and Deductions Explained

This session will be an ideal opportunity to familiarize yourself with how commission and fee payments work, as well as with the iA Advisor Centre. The advantages of the different commission statements available will be compared, along with your deduction payment options.

Solutions to Common Challenges Related to Automatic Withdrawals (AWD) in Nominee Accounts

An overview of automatic withdrawal deposit (AWD) request processing and the form to be used will be provided, so that the most common failures can be analyzed and avoided. The concept of taxation of registered plans will also be discussed, as well as the possibility of making a change request without a form.

Better Understand Transaction Delays and Rejections and How to Avoid Them

The transactions most frequently subject to delays and rejections will be presented so that you can identify the elements that can help prevent them. Next, head office’s limitations as well as your own will be discussed, along with notifications that are issued in the event of rejections and the actions to be taken.

Note-Taking, a Professional Skill to Be Mastered

This session is designed to help you take advantage of the benefits of complete and compliant notes, such as protecting yourself adequately when carrying out your activities, or speeding up an audit process. During this session, you’ll even have the opportunity to ask questions to our Practice Management Specialist, who will be accompanied by a Compliance Officer.

Continuing Education(CE) Credits
Note that our online group trainings are in the process of being accredited by CIRO (formerly MFDA). The CSF does not offer CE credits for training activities lasting less than one (1) hour.
