Estate Settlement – Two New Forms and Amended Administrative Procedure

Good news! In order to facilitate the collection of all the documents required for your clients’ estate settlements, two new forms have been made available, which you can use based on the client’s province of residence (Quebec and outside Quebec):

  • Estate Settlement – Required Document/Information Checklist (All Provinces Except Quebec) (F51-400A-1); and
  • Estate Settlement – Required Document/Information Checklist (Quebec Only) (F51-400A).

These forms, both available in Univeris under the “Generate Forms” section, list all the information and documents required to ensure the efficient processing of your clients’ estates based on the types of plans they held.

Note that Administrative Procedure # 32 – Estates has also been recently amended to provide additional clarification related to tax slips issued by Investia and rollover to the spouse upon settlement, among other things.
