As mentioned in the June 29, 2023 issue of the 360 (ref. New Privacy Requirements – Client Communication), as part of iA Financial Group’s Privacy Now Awareness Campaign, your existing clients have received, or will receive shortly, an electronic or paper communication informing them that we may collect, use and disclose their personal information, and that they may choose to withdraw their consent to that effect if they so desire. Note that this communication will continue to be sent by iA to new clients created in Univeris until September 2023 (exact date to be provided in an upcoming communication).

**Please do not share the client communication with your clients as it was, or will be, sent to them by iA Financial Group.

New client consent section on the NCAF/KYC Update Form

As a second step, in order to inform new clients of our privacy initiatives after the September date which will be communicated later, the three Investia NCAFs (client-name, nominee accounts, TFSAs) and KYC Update Form will all be updated to include a new section for the collection of the client’s consent around the collection, use and disclosure of his or her personal information.

On the NCAF*:

From then on, after completing the form with the client, Representatives will be responsible for documenting the client’s consent preference in Univeris as follows:

Clients will also be able to update their consent preferences themselves by visiting the Privacy Notice at ia.ca/privacy-notice. More details will be provided about this process in an upcoming communication.

Availability of forms in Univeris

The amended forms will be available in Univeris in September. Stay tuned as the exact date will be communicated in an upcoming issue of the 360.
